I got nothin'

My husband Michael rides the bus back and forth to work in Boston. Much less stressful than driving and cheaper too. On the way home Friday the bus driver begins talking to him as his stop approaches. Here is that conversation:

Bus driver(BD): Have you heard about the haunted house in town?
Michael(M): Yeah,kinda
BD:What have you heard?
M:Just gossip and stuff from the kids.
BD:Do you know where it is?
M:That old house on the corner?
BD:No, the one near the fairgrounds.
M:On South River Street?
BD:No, by the fair entrance. Right there on Main Street.
M:Which one? There are 3 houses there.
BD:The first one. The one right at the entrance.
M:Uhh,that's my house!
BD:I don't wanna freak you out or anything...
Laughing ensues...

That is all.

Not much

I'm feeling better than I have been but not back to 100% yet. I get so upset and impatient when I get sick,it makes me crazy. You would think that little illnesses like a cold wouldn't bug me but it so does. Grrrrr...

Anyway here are some pretty pages to look at.

That is all.

Cuteness-copied!

I haven't felt well (I think my husband infected me with his cold germs)the past few days so I haven't done anything or taken any new pictures. Because I hate to leave you for days with no pretty pictures, here are covers of some of my journals.

After seeing these on Jeane's blog I had to get some for myself. Skip Amazon and go to Chronicle Books where,if you sign up for the newsletter, you will receive a code for 20% off your first order. After placing your first order you get another code for 30% off your next order! Good deal all around.

Colorful World

Yesterday I went to ACM to get beads for babysitting today. While I was there I noticed that they now sell items by 7Gypsies and I had very mixed feelings about that. There was a part of me that said "oh cool, now I can use a coupon" but then I felt "another company selling out to the big guys". If more and more companies begin selling in big box chains what will be left for the independent stores? Tell me your feelings on the subject.
That is all. Carry on.

Hi,my name is (no, not Slim Shady)...

Phoebe Felton-Windemere and right now I am pulling myself together.

Field Trip

Yesterday me and the lovely Susan went on a field trip. I decided to drive us to Topsfield,MA home of Absolutely Everything. It took a little over an hour to get there and I am glad(at least my wallet is)that it is not any closer. We had a great time shopping(we did visit a second time after lunch), having lunch and talking the day away. It was one of the best days I have had in quite a while.

Here are some of the goodies I bought-rubons and clear stickers. Hambly and American Crafts are big faves of mine

a few embellishments-the bling packages have both jewels and pearls in one pack! I only wish I could find somewhere that had all the Maya Road stuff. I LOVE their products!
and one of my favorite purchases, Maya Road of course-a canvas covered album with 2 canvas pocket pages as well as 4 chipboard pages. I think I will paint it
I bought a bunch of transparencies (damn you Kelly),a few sheets of paper and some ribbon as well. I miss this kind of shopping!

I have also been doing a bit of sewing too. I made this pillow for my mum in colors that go with her living room which has a beachy theme to it.
I am also making a coordinating throw quilt for her couch.
That's about all for now. All day long I get these great ideas in my head and say to myself "I should put that on the blog" but when the time comes to sit down at the computer I can't remember any of it. So just think of all the witty things you miss!
But yesterday was a good day and today wasn't too bad either. And I keep trying.

Psst...guess what?

I finally opened my etsy shop!!!

I will be adding more in the next few days including collage and paper packs along with ribbon, vintage buttons and more!

Clothes shoppping...BOO!, Bargains...HOORAY!

I want to start by saying that I hate shopping for clothes FOR ME. I would shop for anyone else but as far as for me, I hate it. I have a hard time finding things that fit on someone who's figure is "short round" with no real junk in the trunk as they say. All that being said sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and get stuff. Mostly because I have ruined alot of my clothes with paint and glue and...whatever else is messy. If I must buy clothes I hate spending very much money on them but don't want to look crappy. A dilemna isn't it? This is why I love getting good stuff on clearance. I told you I went shopping on Monday and here is what I got:

4 tops at Old Navy for a total of $9.38
I had to get this cute bag. I thought I would paint it.
2 pairs of Land's End jeans (that are not all saggy in the ass). Total cost $20 regularly $39.50 a pair!
and last but not least 3 pairs of Land's End shoes, which I love because they are comfortable and supportive but don't look like my 94 year old gramma should be wearing them, for a total of $25.45( 2 pairs regular price of $39.50,one pair regularly $34.50)
Now how's that for bargain shopping?
Tomorrow I will tell you all about the "field trip" I went on today with my dear friend Susan.

Winners and Losers

Congratulations to Viki and Jeane for being the 2 winners of some little felt hearts. Viki please send me you snail mail address and Jeane your hearts go out in tomorrow's mail! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my blog and left a comment, hey thanks even if you just stopped by and took a peek. Fifty posts! Can you believe it? I'm still not sure what direction I am going in with this blog because sometimes I want to rant and then I restrain myself from posting, sticking to the colorful, pretty stuff. Which is all well and fine but only a part of who I am. Who I am is what I am working on,trying to discover. Do we ever really know?
As you may know I am being treated for severe clinical depression and part of that treatment includes therapy. I think my doctor is great and she pushes me,ehich I need. Anyway, I have come to the realization that alot of my negative feelings and behaivors are related to my feeling betrayed by my physical body. Has anyone else ever had this feeling? How doyou get over, around, through it? I think I may have a lot of suppressed anger about it. It sucks but I keep on trying. What else can I do?
So much for my bitchin'. I am going out in a little while (maybe a little shopping?) and will post more when I get home. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's being with those you love and/or doing what you love.

Sticky Stuff...again

I found this cute tape at M's in the American Girl kids section.

Also at M's-printed packing tape! There were 7 different designs so I had to get them all since they were only $1 a roll!!!

I am keeping the contest open until Monday. For details see yesterday's post.

More AU Chunky Book pages...and a contest!!!

Now that I have all my big projects completed (Christmas presents and 29 AU Chunky Book pages) I am ready to do something fun. I haven't done any collage in a while so I think that's what I'm gonna do. I also have a few patterns for felt things I want to try out.
Etsy is still in the works though my lack of time and technological knowledge have hindered my progress. I'm gettin' there!
How about a teeny tiny contest? I will send some of those little felt hearts pictured at the top of my blog to the 5th comment on this post. I mean the 5th unique commenter-you cannot leave 5 in a row. Am I explaining myself? And should a miracle occur and 10 people comment, number 10 will get some too!
