My husband Michael rides the bus back and forth to work in Boston. Much less stressful than driving and cheaper too. On the way home Friday the bus driver begins talking to him as his stop approaches. Here is that conversation:
Bus driver(BD): Have you heard about the haunted house in town?
Michael(M): Yeah,kinda
BD:What have you heard?
M:Just gossip and stuff from the kids.
BD:Do you know where it is?
M:That old house on the corner?
BD:No, the one near the fairgrounds.
M:On South River Street?
BD:No, by the fair entrance. Right there on Main Street.
M:Which one? There are 3 houses there.
BD:The first one. The one right at the entrance.
M:Uhh,that's my house!
BD:I don't wanna freak you out or anything...
Laughing ensues...
That is all.

Cuteness-copied!
I haven't felt well (I think my husband infected me with his cold germs)the past few days so I haven't done anything or taken any new pictures. Because I hate to leave you for days with no pretty pictures, here are covers of some of my journals.

After seeing these on Jeane's blog I had to get some for myself. Skip Amazon and go to Chronicle Books where,if you sign up for the newsletter, you will receive a code for 20% off your first order. After placing your first order you get another code for 30% off your next order! Good deal all around.

Colorful World
Yesterday I went to ACM to get beads for babysitting today. While I was there I noticed that they now sell items by 7Gypsies and I had very mixed feelings about that. There was a part of me that said "oh cool, now I can use a coupon" but then I felt "another company selling out to the big guys". If more and more companies begin selling in big box chains what will be left for the independent stores? Tell me your feelings on the subject.
That is all. Carry on.

Field Trip
Yesterday me and the lovely Susan went on a field trip. I decided to drive us to Topsfield,MA home of Absolutely Everything. It took a little over an hour to get there and I am glad(at least my wallet is)that it is not any closer. We had a great time shopping(we did visit a second time after lunch), having lunch and talking the day away. It was one of the best days I have had in quite a while.
Here are some of the goodies I bought-rubons and clear stickers. Hambly and American Crafts are big faves of mine

a few embellishments-the bling packages have both jewels and pearls in one pack! I only wish I could find somewhere that had all the Maya Road stuff. I LOVE their products!
and one of my favorite purchases, Maya Road of course-a canvas covered album with 2 canvas pocket pages as well as 4 chipboard pages. I think I will paint it

I bought a bunch of transparencies (damn you Kelly),a few sheets of paper and some ribbon as well. I miss this kind of shopping!
I have also been doing a bit of sewing too. I made this pillow for my mum in colors that go with her living room which has a beachy theme to it.
I am also making a coordinating throw quilt for her couch.
That's about all for now. All day long I get these great ideas in my head and say to myself "I should put that on the blog" but when the time comes to sit down at the computer I can't remember any of it. So just think of all the witty things you miss!
But yesterday was a good day and today wasn't too bad either. And I keep trying.
