Just wanted, no needed, to say this

I haven't posted in a while because I haven't taken any pictures. That shouldn't matter should it? Here is my journal entry from last night, exactly as I wrote it in my book. I think it's pretty self-explanatory.

"Sometimes I lose my focus and forget why I make these books. It's not to show my pretty pages, get compliments or make things that are worth showing. It's really all about journaling, kinda like a diary but prettier. It's for no one but me. It only matters if I'm happy with what I do. If I think of it that way then I always have something to write, not worrying about what topic would be ok to post or oh, you have too many negative pages and no one wants that to read all the time. Who cares. This is my book and I will write whatever I am thinking about."

That is all :)

  2. I just tried to post a comment and am not sure if it went through or not.

Your journal is your place to be you and where you should feel safe.

Your blog is your place to post what you want to post and say what you want to say. :)

Be YOU. That's all we want!!! Real, tried, true and unique Sharyn!! :)

  6. Hey, just found your blog.

One of the things I'm a little uncomfortable with is that when people share their pages, everyone else feels the need to comment on their beauty.
Perhaps some are beautiful in a traditional sense. To me the beauty comes from their authenticity.

But sharing visually makes it really difficult to comment and we all end up referring to their aesthetic worth. I guess it's just a blogging liability. :)

For me, my journals are about being raw, real, authentic.
    Thankyou for saying it also.

  7. Samantha,
Thanks for the comliment. It means alot to me that I could be inspiring to someone. Your journals are for you.

    Monica,
Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment. My favorite pages are those that have real, honest journaling no matter what they look like. I try to share who I am because that's all I can be. And you are very welcome-glad to know others feel the same.
